QUOTE I lived in France for a year after school and at one time spoke great French. Kate said that a while ago, i found it on the ninemsn website, i think its from when Little Eve first came out. |

When she was on Nova this week they made her ring a French hotel and attempt to make a booking. It was very chic!

So... What do those Lyrics in motorscooter actually translate as? Or will i have to learn French to sate my curiosity? Hehehe Yeah, i was curious about that as well, so i asked my french teacher(who is awesome) what it meant, apparently its like ''hey, pay attention to me'' or something along those lines, and then my french teacher liked the song and asked who it was, and it turns out she's a fan of Kate! What a small world we live in, where students and faculty can live together in a peaceful Kate Miller-Heidke environment! |

So... What do those Lyrics in motorscooter actually translate as? Or will i have to learn French to sate my curiosity? Hehehe The French lyrics according to kate's website are: "Didons, ma puce, on est vachement chouette La, en promenade, sur ta mobilette. Mais quoi? On arrette? Je viens..." And they don't mean "pay attention to me". They mean: "Hey, my baby, we are so super Here, cruising on your motorscooter. But what? We're stopping? I'm coming..." That's assuming that "Didons" (which isn't a french word) was meant to be "Disons" (s and d are next to each on a keyboard) or, far more likely, it's meant to be "Dis donc" which means literally "say, then" or "Hey!". Disons means "we say" but nobody says that. They say "Dis donc" quite a lot. cheers, raf |

Oh god! That's so much better than my dodgy Microsoft Word translation! The only bit that even remotely resembled that was the "I'm Coming!" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
