Has anybody heard much of Sia?

I think she is a really underrated singer here in Australia.

If you havent heard of her check out Breathe me, Soon We'll be found, Buttons, and Bring night.. some really great tracks. Trust me you will be hooked.

She's great.

I like the song about clapping your hands or whatever.

Breathe Me in the Six Feet Under finale = Flawless.

"You've Changed" makes my head bop in happiness.

We have that on the loop disc at work. It's catchy, but annoying after 30+ listens. Haha.

Unlucky!
Hey atleast you would know all the words!
liam5000
Haha, surprisingly we don't! We just sing random gibberish to it.

I love Sia...she may have gained more success here in the US than she has at home (though she's not mainstream yet).

We just went to San Diego to catch her show out the House Of Blues (a bit of a drive, but totally worth it).

Hunh. Maybe I'm becoming an Aussiephile. smile.gif

Here's some clips:

BRING NIGHT (this one's really fun -- someone gave her a big inflatable heart which she launched into the audience):

HahahahaahhHAhahhahha...well. No, actually, it's the boyfriend who's an even bigger, drunker fan of Sia. I'm also a much steadier cameraman than he is...you can see me shaking my head at 1:43.

Thats ok we accept anyone. Next you will have to listen to Midnight Oil, Angels, Gangajang, Savage Garden etc etc.
liam5000
I wouldn't go that far...

I'd start with Cut Copy, Presets, Midnight Juggernauts... then work back to Midnight Oil.

Mwahahah, but no joke.

Listen to the awesomeness of "Sun Arise"

And the even greater (weirder?) piece it inspired from Kate Bush:

And you will understand!

This is the only Rolf video that I could find that makes him anywhere near as good as you think he is:

And that's only because I played the wobble board during Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport at assembly in primary school cool.gif

Um...interesting. But the dude played didgeridoo for Kate Bush on a few tracks. And then actually sang on a 2005 track...portraying a painter. Or God. Depending how you look at it. Which means RH has a worthy calling card.

But back to Sia.
liam5000
Wouldn't mind Sia covering this:
