Thanks to Roger for his great work in getting this.
It is really quite special Our Song is awesome.
I can still hear it from some of the shows last year when the audience was deathly silent as K&K weaved their magic.

Actually a really great little interview. Wish there was more talking than singing, honestly.
Didn't really dig the beeps, I have to admit.

I love this interview! Anyone know where it took place?
Kate was the perfect amount of forthcoming and aloof...and the songs are the best recordings of them performing live & acoustic that I've heard yet!
That said, I gotta agree on "RUFKM"...the phrase "you narcissistic so & so" is like using "silly shenanigans" to describe a terrorist act. How about "man-ho" or "evil troll"? Or just Nickelback.
The bleeps were fine and necessary -- saying "freaking" would've been the equivalent of "so & so." Maybe a clown horn or a clucking chicken would be better...I dunno. Or a snippet of a Nickelback song. You do what you gotta do for radio.

Surely the radio station had an actual bleep function, though.

Twas a joke riffing off of something she says in the interview. Nickelback is a three-syllable word so it fits in the space....but not really.

Oh, I got the reference. I shake my head at the thought of it being in the song.

The good part is that I have an eight year old and I can now play him the facebook song.
It is also good that the song is different from the usual version(otherwise I could just listen to the Live at the HiFi cd).

He like RUFKM?
Steve W
May 25 2010, 05:29 PM
Of course, I think he is the only 8 year old that has seen KMH play at least 6 times(Annandale twice, Tivoli in Brisbane, Bundanon, Maitland and Moollolaba).
