Saw Dead Letter Chorus on Friday night(they were supporting Cuthbert and the Nightwalkers). DLC were really good have not heard any of their music before but managed to get a Single and an EP at the show.
Would be a good fit as support for KMH. They had a pretty full on approach with 3 guitarists, a bass player, drummer, keyboards.
La!
! I saw DLC last year I think it was at the Brass Monkey. They're really good smile.gif
Betty
I saw DLC back in January when they supported Steve Poltz. Well it was only Cam and Gabby but they were awesome. And they give really good hugs. Cam was pretty drunk by the end of the night though, he suggested my friend Manda (mandatora on here so nobody gets confused) call her fish Jesus.

I really enjoyed their set at the Metro in December before Kate. The EP is great and they are very friendly! biggrin.gif

I'm pretty sure I saw these guys in brissy.. I think it was them.. they kept going on about some pool party from the day before laugh.gif

I like their work.

they're really talented.
Steve W
Sev if they were supporting Kate is may have been them. They also supported Cuthbert at the Heritage last year, and also were support for Kate at Metro in December.

yah then it was them.

I liked them. she had 2 supports. I forget who the other band was some guy and a girl.. who were also really good.
Betty
I saw them in Brissy supporting Kate too. They were awesome. The photo of us with Sallie has the drummer in the background.

DLC are the best band ever!! I first saw them when they supported Kate at the Tivoli on the 9th of December, and I absolutely fell in love with them! We had really good spots for the show, I was pretty much front row centre, and the dark-haired guy on the far left (possibly named Matt) waved to me. And then afterwards I went to meet them and get my setlist signed, and the guy pointed at me and was like "hey!" and gave me a big hug. It was awesome. They're all really nice. I spoke to Lee (the drummer) for ages, he was quite friendly.

Then we went and saw them when they were supporting Steve Poltz (Who is also awesome!!). It was an acoustic show, with only Gabby and Cam. It was AMAZING, though. They played 11th Dream About Planes, which I was hoping they'd do! And some other amazing songs!! Then we had a chat with them afterwards, and Cam wrote on my shirt that I'm unreal biggrin.gif Then when I was getting my photo with them I broke a lamp laugh.gif It was funny. Well, I didn't really break it, I just accidentally knocked the shade off. And then Cam tried to fix it lol. He's a funny drunk. He gives nice, long hugs too. It was a good night. Until we missed the last train and were stranded in the Valley blink.gif
Steve W
Well if you are going to get stranded in Brisbane it may as well be in the Valley, at least you would have had plenty of interesting things to look at!!!
Mandatora
Haha yeah...like the adult shops...and the scary druggies...
Betty
.....And the weird homeless chick under the teller machine who asked me for a smoke.... She called me brother blink.gif
Steve W
Ah the Valley!!!!!! What a wonderful place.
Betty
Indeed *nods*

SALLIEEEE TONIGHT!!!! And tomorrow and Saturday.... Twice tongue.gif
Mandatora
Hmm...we'll be back in the Valley again on Sunday. Let's hope we don't get stranded again. Or attacked by bins or other inanimate objects.

I think I would be more worried about the Animate objects in the Valley. laugh.gif
Mandatora
Oh the inanimate objects can be just as vicious. Just ask Betty.
Betty
