Managed to get 2 tickets to see RHS last night. Overall I think it was quite a good show, with some very good artists.
I think though that there could have been some better execution from some.
For part of the show it was hard to discover why the performers were trying to put on fake American accents(which they were so poor at doing) John Waters took on the role of the Narrator and the director must have thought that this meant that the Narrator role was actually the role of TV cop Columbo because that is what he looked like and tried to sound like.
Paul Capsis was pretty good but his girly shrill voice was a bit too shrill sometimes.
Iota was very good and was clearly the standout performer.
The costumes were very good and the band were pretty good.
It was funny that they had to use eyeliner or something similar on Rocky as he clearly had not done enough work in the gym.(I believe they use different performers for Rocky, and this one was not the main one) his singing was a little weak too.

As part of the show Janet was played by a small blonde who did not have the best singing voice, and I think could have done better with her accent.

I think that Kate would have done a much better job as Janet.

Talking of things that have nothing to do with Kate I once sold a life assurance plan to the photographer of The Rocky Horror Picture Show film - Peter Suchitzky.
Rocky Horry totally ROCKS.
It has been showing continuously at a cinema in Edgware Road every day for over 30 years & Lee & I went there before Kate was born. There, i found a Kate reference ! ?

I saw Rocky Horror last week. I absolutely loved it, very good and very funny! iOTA absolutely embodies Frank n' Furter, he is definitely the stand out performance. Gretel Killeen was the narrator and was very good. I highly recommend that you go and see this production, the best I have seen.
