Hey Kate, i was measuring my vocal range in music class a few days ago, and i was curious what your vocal range was?

The link above mentions that Kate "possess a three octave vocal range". I'm not sure of the accuracy of that but i guess it's an idea of her vocal range.

On a good day it is three and a half octaves.

By the way all that stuff about people who supposedly have a range of six or seven octaves, Mariah Carey etc, that is nearly the whole range of the piano and physically impossible.

I know the guy, Adam, who has the guiness book of records for singing the highest note. I think he can sing about two octaves higher than me (it's on youtube if you care to have a listen!)

As a pianist myself, I always thought Mariah had the biggest (?) range as a singer, female or male - I mean listen to Emotions, sounds like she's whistling IMO

I can see what you mean Kate and also why so many people get it so wrong...Play along and you'll see too
