This will be great, supported by Cuthbert and the Nightwalkers, who if you haven't seen them before, you will enjoy. Get there for their set as well.

Got tickets for SOCO today so very happy. Look forward to catching up with everyone there.
It is also great that we will see Cuthbert as well, I believe they have been holed up in the Blue MtS, recording their follow up album. They have previewed some of the songs in the last 12 months, and if they are any indicator it will be a great follow up to Love Needs Us.

Giselle, I know that Kate enjoys doing the all ages show(she has mentioned it a couple of times on her blogs and also in reply to Ask Kate) however it has sometimes been difficult to book a venue that will allow under 18's in. In the past Kate has done shows at the Annandale that were all ages(They were also all sell outs) so it would appear that there are in the same situation as yourself.
As Kate has a large number of shows booked in the latest tour it may be difficult to try and organise some all ages shows to fit in with the tight timeframes so the only thing I can suggest is that you contact Kates new management and ask that some all ages shows be scheduled(most likely in the future)

It says on one of the sites that it is located behind the Forum, so my guess it is where the circus was located when KMH played with Colbie. Not sure if that helps, but that is where I am heading. See you there.
I'll be at this gig.
(I realise I haven't been posting here lately, but haven't fallen off the face of the earth)
I'll also be at both of the Clarendon gigs, Newcastle, Wollongong and this one.
Looking forward to catching up with the Sydney crew again.

It is an indoor show so no worries about the weather
Also, there's a cricket game on at the SCG tonight so parking could be a hassle this evening at the Entertainment Quarter.

Could you give me the phone number Kirby? I want to call them and find out if you can buy tickets at the venue.
moshtix is closed so you can't buy them online anymore.
Or alternatively, does anyone else have a spare ticket?
I'm kicking myself, I knew the sydney concert was on soon, but I just got back from overseas and hadn't bothered to check online until now.

Last night the crowd were pretty feral and rude, talking and laughing through songs. The people up front were keen though, knowing all the words to the songs.
The show was cut short by some Nova DJ lining people up on stage for the best dressed competition. There were two songs left on the set list for encore and it did not happen.
First time I have seen a stripper on stage before Kate!
Kirby
Feb 16 2009, 12:11 PM
True, it was a bit of a crazy crowd.
The whole necklace and mask thingys at the door was cool, I thought it was such an awesome little place!
And the soco and lemonade drinks were amazing!
Oh and so was Kate

But a camera guy was standing in front of me nearly the whole time..
I was just showing my little girl some photos and she loves her heaps..
She kept going "I want a photo with heike

" lol
She calls her Heike or clock hair most of the time

although the venue was a bit TOO small for my liking.. and the stage was way to low.. ( at one point i thought the lead singer from cuth was about to wack me with his guitar!!) .. the good thing about being at the front was that we didnt have to deal with all that rant down the back. Only when i took my 'special Fiona earplugs' out was when I realised how nuts it was.
ps. I spotted you kirby .."miss miller hiedke stunt double"
on a side note the burlesque was funny.. whats even funnier was steve front row centre

and I liked the nova dude.. he was worth the watch.. however I much would of rather an encore from kate than a prance and dance from miss $1000 dollars richer.
(still think dean guyer lookalike should of won!)
Kirby
Feb 16 2009, 02:08 PM
Haha, I didn't see you. Cause I don't have a clue what you look like sorry

I don't think that chick should have won best dressed, she didn't even have one of those white cards that were given out to people who could compete at the end!
But I thought it was a really cool gig.
Way too short of a set though, sad about no encore

Well I would think that this would have to be my least satisfying KMH gig.
The venue was great Cuthbert was great again, and is by far the Best KMH support I have seen.
The Nova guy was a tool before Kate came on and he was a real tool when he diced that there was no point in Kate coming back on for an Encore!!! This was one of the more expensive dates on the tour and was one of the shortest. I believe there were only 11 songs and it lasted for less than an hour.
In addition there appeared to be troubles with the sound, for the first couple of songs Kates keyboards were just about silent and then later on it improved but only slightly, then later on Nicoles acoustic, was almost and would have been if I had not being 1m from it.
The band seemed to be putting in a big effort and I thought that Steve at one stage(The Voice) was about to explode he was putting in that much effort.
The talking from parts of the audience was very off putting, and in the case of Last Day on Earth, was very unfortunate to have some fool laughing!!!! while Kate was talking about the bushfires, what started out as a great night out with friends, although enjoyable, became less so, even more so when we tried to get out of the carpark and had to wait for half an hour before we moved, at least I had good company.
It was great to catch up with Trent, Sev and Johnny, Kirby and Davey.

damn.. i have to say that I missed a whole lot of that! I must of been in my own little world.. but I think a big part was due to stuffing my ears with tissues.
the sound was so much better then! Mr pope was fantastic as always on drums.. and Its always entertaining to watch keir and nic do their thing
I must say the intro to last day was pretty emotional for me.. and last night hearing that song and playing close attention to the lyrics, it felt as if it had been written during that moment.

That wanker from the radio was a complete waste of space. Was a great show until he f****d it up. The encore was planned (as they always are), and we missed two songs cause of that prick. Piss off tool!!!!
BTW, Cuthbert & The Nightwalkers are simply awesome.
Thanks for coming up to say hi Steve
