PLEASE SAY THAT YOU DO!

I AGREE! PLEASE SAY THERE ARE!
FionaK
This is quoted directly from Kate's latest newsletter which I received today:
"For those of you under 18 who desire to come to an over-18 pub gig, KMH Inc recommends that you call the pub in advance and ask if it's okay if you come with an over-18 guardian. Often they don't mind."
giselle
i would...but all the adults i know hate kate... mad.gif no idea why. mad.gif are there ANY others!?!?!!
SuppiSinger

Maybe the Clarendon Guesthouse one isn't... I'm not entirely sure though... I'm looking through the website but I don't seem to be finding any info.. sad.gif

giselle
haha-nice idea biggrin.gif ...one problem. mad.gif parents would never consent! dry.gif they would kill me, dig me up and then ban me from ever going to another kate concert. blink.gif i would love to go...i guess i'll have wait. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif
SuppiSinger
well I'm very willing to run away to one of her concerts... that would be fun
lol

or else I'll have to wait until I'm over 18... I don't think my parents would let me to an all ages one either.. they're probably afraid someone will kidnap me..
FionaK
WTF blink.gif

Most all ages shows are at 2pm in the afternoon, no different to going shopping for a couple of hours! If you are in Sydney and go to a Sydney gig, I promise you, there will be at least 5 if not 10 fanimals who would keep an eye out for you. My sister just turned 18 and I took her with me to the Metro gig. She was well protected and looked after by the fanimals who all made sure she had a good position front of stage and that she was safe. We look after our own. We often meet before gigs so your parents can meet with us. smile.gif
giselle
you guys are SO sweet biggrin.gif ! myabe i WILL come!

love you people! tongue.gif

awww that's REALLY nice to know...

My mum doesn't even trust me contacting people on forums... (but i do it anyway tongue.gif ) i think it's just a paranoia thing coz she doesn't use the computer much and she reads the news toooooo much.. haha

i'll most likely ask someone i know in real life to come with me.. then we can all be part of the fanimal family! tongue.gif

There is danger for young people using the web so your mum is right to be cautious about it. There is a difference between meeting a group of fans at a gig and giving out your details to strangers and and/or wondering off to a second location with someone you have just met.

I believe that if you take appropriate cautions and use technology sensibly you can meet some great people through these forums but ultimately it is when you really meet them in real life and get to know them (in safe public places) that you can truly judge if someone is safe. Therefore you need to be careful of what you share about yourself on line.

Unfortunately, your mum is right, I can tell you anything on line and you have no way of knowing if it is true.

The fanimals are like a family, you couldn't meet a nicer group of people and you will surely find that out one day when you meet us! biggrin.gif

yeah fi's right.

But remember we are on the KATE MILLER HEIDKE forum... so we must all be nice going folk with great taste in music.. (well most of us anyhow laugh.gif )

I've met a fair few of these wonderful people and I assure you that the Fanimals are Fanimaltastic! Who have I met...?

Fee, Cec, Nic, Tracey, Steve, the spawn of Tracey and Steve tongue.gif, Andy, Manning, Louise, Jamie, Matt (aka Saithis), Kate, Ktlynn, Leon... Hopefully I shall meet ALL of you one day!
giselle
haha, me too! me too!
Kate Miller-Heidke
You all are very nice to offer to look after this young'un.

I love doing all-ages shows. Unfortunately most venues just don't allow them.

We'll definitely be doing one in Sydney sometime in 09.
CFC.LOVES.KMH
LOL

What about Brisbane Kate?
Any all age shows in Brisbane in 2009 ?

Xx

I LOVE YOU
giselle
hahaha, young'un indeed!

When I went to see her (my cousin arranged to take me as a surprise:]) she did like what you guys are saying, and she rang up and asked if it was over 18s or not. They said it was all ages, but when we were there, there was alcohol, I'm pretty sure, so we were kind of confused.
But that explains it then! Hahah!
But I live in Victoria... so it might be different to Sydney...
